O'Shaughnessy's skink (Brachyseps gastrostictus) has only been recorded from two, widely-separated localities in eastern Madagascar (Anjanaharibe-Sud in the northeast and Andrangoloaka further south), which suggests that the species is likely to occur between them as well.
