The Kotosh Andes frog (Phrynopus kotosh), Conchamarca Andes frog (Phrynopus heimorum), Kaunes' Andes frog (Phrynopus kauneorum), Ambo Andes frog (Phrynopus barthlenae), Maraypata Andes frog (Phrynopus tautzorum), Horst Paul's Andes frog (Phrynopus horstpauli) and Dagmar's Andes frog (Phrynopus dagmarae) are all known only from a small area of central Peru (Huánuco department).
